REAL SHIPPING. ZERO SLIDE DECKS.

“We ship fast” hits different in a truck.

A short checklist for people whose deliverables have actual weight.

Start with the operation.

List your vehicles, drivers, cargo, routes, and operating authority. Say whether you own, lease, or drive equipment for someone else. Those details shape the conversation.

Separate the risks.

Auto liability, physical damage, cargo, general liability, and work-related injury are separate questions. A policy name alone does not tell you whether your whole operation is covered.

Check the paperwork with the right people.

Requirements depend on the operation. Review current FMCSA guidance and speak with a licensed trucking specialist. Insurance companies or their authorized representatives handle applicable insurance filings.

A downloadable checklist is not proof of insurance.

Yorkie’s tool helps you organize questions. It cannot issue a certificate, make a filing, bind coverage, or get your authority activated. That takes a real insurer and the right process.

This article is general information, not individualized insurance or legal advice. Discuss your actual circumstances and policy terms with qualified professionals.
